Professional Filling Replacement
for a Healthier Smile

Not happy with seeing silver fillings in your mouth? Wish for all your fillings to look white? No problem let’s get them changed for you! Amalgam fillings known as ‘silver fillings’ have a mercury content in their fillings. These fillings are made up of a combination of silver, mercury, tin and copper. Although there is no cause for concern about the mercury content in amalgam fillings, some people prefer to avoid them. Amalgam fillings are very hard and can last decades. However, once they have been in the mouth for a long period of time, they corrode at the margins and become “leaky”. The result is that the tooth becomes weaker over time and eventually starts chipping or farcturing away.

A leaky amalgam filling will make the entire tooth go grey or black in colour. By booking a thorough dental examination with us prior to any treatment taking place we can discuss the removal of old fillings, tooth preparation which will take place, and the placement of the new white composite fillings or crowns/onlays. We will make sure that we match the resin of the filling to your desired shade. We utilise high-quality composite resin materials for both aesthetics and durability, minimising discomfort during and after the procedure. If the dental lab made materials will be better, we will advise you accordingly.
